Do it better project
In this project we were given two options. One option was to take an old project and improve it, and the other option was to make a cardboard chair. My group decided to take on a new challenge and make a cardboard chair. Since six of us wanted to make a cardboard chair, we decided to make two chairs. (Three people working on each chair.) We got a little creative and used cardboard tubes for one chair to keep it sturdy. We also added a third "support beam" to make the chair stronger.
Concepts:
Center of gravity- a point from which the weight of a system may be considered to act. In uniform gravity it is the same as the center of mass.
Compressive strength- the resistance of a material to breaking under compression.

reflection:
Honestly, this project was much more difficult than I expected it to be. Cutting cardboard and getting the correct measurements was a lot harder than it seems. One of my group's biggest struggles was getting big enough cardboard in the first place. Another struggle that we faced was making sure that everyone contributes an equal amount of work because there were so many of us. That being said, I thought that one of our peaks was that when we all contributed, we worked very efficiently. Another peak was that we were smart with our time. We took our time to create a prototype and made logical adjustments. This payed off because then our final product was very strong.
