HUMAN BODY MODEL REFLECTION:
My group had a variety of successes and challenges during the process of working on our model. We were successful because we were able to work well as a group, and we managed our time wisely. We came across some challenges when building our frame. At first we were going to use a large Arizona bottle as our frame, but since that didn't look very professional we decided to build our own wooden frame. Another challenge that we came across was being able to find a balloon large enough to stretch across the bottom of our frame and act as the diaphragm.
Everything worked well on our final model. Since we had a lot of time left over at the end of the project we were able to fix every little detail. We were able to get a new and stronger balloon because our first balloon had developed a small hole. We also had enough time to make an additional detailed poster about our model.
We received positive feedback from the judges. They were impressed by how well our lungs worked, and they really liked how we incorporated the vocal chords as well. We were able to answers their questions because of our detailed poster.
